"For organizations that continue to use these systems for business critical functions and do not want to upgrade to new equipment, finding a reliable service partner to protect their mainframe investment is paramount," says Christopher Larsen, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for DecisionOne. "The 'time and materials' maintenance IBM offers for these models is not an adequate solution for most mission-critical systems."

Eric Rocco, Vice President of Gartner Inc., a research and advisory firm that helps clients understand technology and drive business growth, says, "As enterprises continue to hold on to hardware assets longer in challenging economic times, they face the ongoing need to be able to source external support to keep those systems up and running."

Larsen adds, "DecisionOne delivers cost effective, high-level service agreement support on these mainframe product lines, allowing our customers to extend the life of these products, delay capital expenditures, and maximize the value of their IT equipment. DecisionOne's commitment to providing the support solutions our customers require is at the heart of the value we deliver."
