Baxter's Employee Self-Service enables U.S.-based employees (about 18,000 employees) to change their personal information, such as name, marital status, phone number, and emergency contact. In addition, it enables employees to enroll and/or change direct deposit options and Federal W-4 information, as well as verify important personal information, including pay records. Changes made by employees to their personal records are effective immediately and feed directly into the PeopleSoft HRMS application (version 7).

To further gain a competitive edge and empower employees, Baxter will add to the web-based self-service functionality. Future functionality may include employee stock purchase, job postings, organization chart, and employee self-service for all Baxter employees around the globe. In addition, Baxter will implement managerial self-service that allows for common review and salary, skills and talent management. Managerial self-service is expected to bring significant savings to the corporation. Throughout Baxter's web-based self-service implementations, DTI will continue to support Baxter with the quality PeopleSoft and e-business technical skills they have come to expect from DTI.
