Decision Dynamics Inc. names Dave B. Fisher to head a new division -- Decision Dynamics Canada.

, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 10, 1995--Dr. Eugene L. Bryan, president and founder of Decision Dynamics Inc., is pleased to announce the opening of Decision Dynamics Canada, Burnaby, B.C., and is especially pleased to appoint Dave B. Fisher as vice president and general manager for Canadian operations.

Decision Dynamics has been a leader in the development of management software for the forest products industry since 1966. Fisher brings to Decision Dynamics Canada 23 years of diverse forest industry experience spanning several notable organizations: Crown Zellerbach Canada Ltd., The Council of Forest Industries of B.C., International Forest Products Limited, Canadian Forest Products Ltd., and West Coast Plywood plywood, manufactured board composed of an odd number of thin sheets of wood glued together under pressure with grains of the successive layers at right angles. Laminated wood differs from plywood in that the grains of its sheets are parallel.  Co. Ltd.

His experience includes: management responsibilities in five sawmills -- from supervisor to general manager; teaching lumber lumber, term for timber that has been cut into boards for use as a building material. The major steps in producing lumber involve logging (the felling and preparation of timber for shipment to sawmills), sawing the logs into boards, grading the boards according to  education and sawmill sawmill, installation or facility in which cut logs are sawed into standard-sized boards and timbers. The saws used in such an installation are generally of three types: the circular saw, which consists of a disk with teeth around its edge; the band saw, which  manufacturing programs at operations throughout B.C.; conducting sawmill efficiency analyses for coastal and interior operations; management of a large forest region in Alberta; and most recently, as president and COO of a plywood company.
