 networks, Opus Dei is planning an independent documentary about the group and has partnered with Doubleday, Brown's publisher, to print an edition of The Way, a collection of reflections by Opus founder St. Josemaria Escriva, reports the Associated Press. The Da Vinci Code features an Opus Dei member as the villain of the story.

Still, Opus Dei is not suggesting a boycott of the film. "We wouldn't want to do Sony the favor," said Opus spokesman Brian Finnerty. Opus Dei has suggested, however, that it might sue if donations decline after the movie's release, according to the Spanish news agency E.F.E.
