Dear MIRIAM: Stunned by his will.

Byline: Dr MIRIAM STOPPARD Noun 1. Stoppard - British dramatist (born in Czechoslovakia in 1937)
Sir Tom Stoppard, Thomas Straussler, Tom Stoppard

Dear Miriam AN ex-boyfriend has left me pounds 5,000 in his will. I was surprised as we hadn't seen each other since we were teenagers.

He was married with three children. I'm still single. I've heard his wife is very upset about the bequest bequest: see legacy.  and I feel uncomfortable about it as I was never in love with him.

The money's in the bank. What should I do with it?

AS the money inspires guilt in you instead of pleasure, it might be better if you give it to his family.

His wife may not want it herself but you could give it to the children.

An alternative would be to give it to a charity where it will go to good use.
