documentary Eyes Of A Child on poverty-stricken children in Britain moved me beyond belief.

It broke my heart to see them suffering and Brian Reade's article summed up my feelings exactly. As a country we give so much to others, yet we neglect those who need our help most.

is trying to help with tax reforms and schemes to get people back to work. But in the short term, how is this supposed to help such children?

Like Brian, I wanted to wrap my arms around these children, especially David who looked lost.

I am a single parent and have struggled to make ends meet, but not once did I turn to drugs or drink.

ALL MPs should be made to watch Eyes Of A Child. We are always helping other countries out. a loving family and made to attend school. If the Government gave more money to their parents do you honestly think it would go to the children?

The parents would just get more fags and drink. So do something for the children, but not their parents.
