 Members,

Based on feedback we received from you in February February: see month.  2005, the American American, river, 30 mi (48 km) long, rising in N central Calif. in the Sierra Nevada and flowing SW into the Sacramento River at Sacramento. The discovery of gold at Sutter's Mill (see Sutter, John Augustus) along the river in 1848 led to the California gold rush of  Running Association Board of Directors has voted to "go electronic." Welcome to the new age of Running & FitNews!

Initially, the newsletter is being distributed as a pdf and you'll need Adobe adobe (ədō`bē): see rammed earth.
adobe

Handmade sun-dried bricks formed from a mixture of heavy clay and straw found in arid regions.
Acrobrat Reader installed on your computer to view it. (If you don't currently have this program, you can download it "Download It" is Clea's debut single. It was released in the UK on September 22, 2003 and missed the top 20 charting at #21. The single had average promotion, being performed in shows like Top of the Pops.  for free at www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html.) We're in the process of developing a new electronic format and subsequent issues will come directly to your e-mail ... no links to follow to obtain the newsletter, nor large documents to open. Our goal is to make this transition as smooth as possible for you, and to make the electronic version of Running & FitNews something you look forward to receiving.

You may ask, why change the format and delivery method for the newsletter? The ARA Board has been assessing and reassessing this topic for more than two years and has come to the following conclusions about electronic distribution:

* The process time needed to develop each newsletter will be dramatically reduced and, thus, you will receive Running & FitNews in a more timely fashion.

* The newsletter can now become interactive, with links to mentioned items and reader polling to get instant feedback.

* Your interests can be tracked, allowing us to better meet your needs.

* The newsletter (and membership dues) will be immune to the rising costs of printing and postage POSTAGE. The money charged by law for carrying letters, packets and documents by mail. By act of congress of March 3, 1851, Minot's Statute at Large, U. S. 587, it is enacted as follows:
     2.-Sec. 1.
.

* Features can be timelier because news will be delivered more rapidly to you.

We are committed to providing accurate and timely health and running information to all ARA and AMAA members and believe that this change will allow us to reach everyone more effectively. Together, we can support the sport of running and work toward increasing the physical activity levels and well-being of America's youth.

We hope you'll join us as we move toward a new era of the American Running Association.

With Warm Regards,

Bill Young
