Dean in demand.
ARSENAL and Manchester United are locked in a battle to try to sign Wolves' highly-rated central defender Dean Richards.
Aston Villa boss Brian Little is also interested if Richards becomes available, while Coventry have already had a pounds 4million bid rejected by Wolves boss Mark McGhee.
Gunners manager Bruce Rioch and United boss Alex Ferguson were both at Molineux on Saturday to watch Richards, 21, play his first full game since injuring a knee and ankle in a car accident.
Despite a lay-off of more than a month - apart from a brief appearance against Millwall - Richards, one of the hottest properties outside the Premiership, looked back to his best.
McGhee is hoping to keep the dominant defender for at least another 12 months, but may find it difficult to resist a bid of around pounds 5million.
