Dean Harrold named president and chief operating officer of the Las Vegas Hilton.


LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 22, 1997--Hilton Gaming Corp. Thursday announced that Dean Harrold, 51, has been named president and chief operating officer Chief Operating Officer (COO)

The Hilton brand was re-united internationally after more than 40 years in February 2006, when United States-based Hilton
 Corp. and president - gaming operations.

Harrold joined Bally's in 1990, and most recently served as executive vice president of the 2,814-room resort, a position he has held since June 1995. In that capacity he was responsible for overseeing all daily operations at the property.

His previous positions at Bally's included senior vice president of marketing, with oversight responsibility for all marketing aspects, including casino, slots, hotel and restaurants and entertainment. He also served as vice president of customer development.

Harrold began his gaming career as a "21" dealer in 1968 at the Dunes Hotel & Country Club, where he spent more than 18 years serving in various positions. Prior to joining Bally's, Harrold spent four years as an associate vice president in Caesars World Branch Marketing, where he was in charge of customer development for Caesars Palace and Caesars Tahoe.
