Dean Hallett has been named Executive Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer for Fox Filmed Entertainment, it was announced today (25) by Jim Gianopulos and Tom Rothman, Chairmen of Fox Filmed Entertainment.

Hallett has been serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for The Walt Disney Studios The name Walt Disney Studios may refer to:
  • The Walt Disney Company, especially its Studio Entertainment unit, which includes Disney's motion picture studios, music labels, theatrical production company, and distribution companies.
 since January of 2000. In this position, Hallett has been responsible for all financial, strategic, and operational aspects of the Studio.

Hallett formerly served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for The Walt Disney Studios. He joined The Walt Disney Noun 1.  Company in 1990 and The Walt Disney Studios in 1991. Prior to his CFO See Chief Financial Officer.  role, he was Senior Vice President of Planning and Control for The Walt Disney Studios, and Vice President of Finance and Administration for Buena Vista Pictures Marketing, respectively.

Hallett joined Disney in 1990 as a Manager in the Corporate Management Audit department. He was named Director of Finance at Buena Vista Pictures Marketing in 1991 and promoted to Vice President in 1994.

Previously, he was a Group Controller with Anthony Industries (now K2, Inc.) and in public accounting with Ernst and Whinney.

Fox Filmed Entertainment is a unit of Fox Entertainment Group.
