Dean Foods announces public debt offering.


FRANKLIN PARK Franklin Park, village (1990 pop. 18,485), Cook co., NE Ill., a suburb of Chicago; inc. 1892. It is chiefly residential. , Il--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 14, 1995--Dean Foods Co. announced today the public offering of $100 million of its 6.75% Notes due June 15, 2005, priced to yield 99.64%. Proceeds will be used to repay existing indebtedness.

The Notes are not redeemable prior to maturity and not entitled to any sinking fund sinking fund, sum set apart periodically from the income of a government or a business and allowed to accumulate in order ultimately to pay off a debt. A preferred investment for a sinking fund is the purchase of the government's or firm's bonds that are to be paid . The offering was underwritten by Morgan Stanley & Co. Inc. and J.P. Morgan Securities Inc.

Dean Foods is a diversified food processor and distributor, producing a full line of dairy and other food products, including fluid milk, cottage cheese cottage cheese
