Dealing with the unlikely: ULLS-G records ...

Entering a new operator's license in ULLS-G ULLS-G Unit Level Logistics System - Ground  is no cause for excitement, except when the unexpected occurs.

Take, for example, the case when CPL Samuel Smith Samuel Smith or Sam Smith may refer to:
  • Sam Smith, English actor
  • Sam Smith, sports journalist for the Chicago Tribune
  • W A Samuel Smith, second Presidents of Athabasca University
  • Samuel Smith (Maryland) (1752–1839), U.S.

 xxx-xx-6789 already exists in the system. The situation becomes complicated when PFC PFC
abbr.
private first class

Noun 1. PFC - a powerful greenhouse gas emitted during the production of aluminum
perfluorocarbon
 Jamie Stevens, SSAN xyz-xy-6789 arrives in the unit. Smith is already listed as S6789. What do you do with Stevens? She should also be S6789, but the system won't allow that. What do you do?

The short answer is get creative. You can reverse the entry of the first and last names (e.g., input last name of Jamie and first name of Stevens). Or, yon can add a different letter as the first position of the last name (e.g., change last name to be Jstevens rather than Stevens).
