Dealing for Duchenne Celebrity Poker Tournament to Be Held in LA's Petersen Automotive Museum.

Centered on the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego, Southern California is home to nearly 24 million people and is the nation's second most populated region,  based non-profit, CureDuchenne, will host its 2nd Annual Celebrity Poker Tournament "Dealing for Duchenne" at the Petersen Automotive Museum The Petersen Automotive Museum is located on Wilshire Boulevard along Museum Row in the Miracle Mile neighborhood of Los Angeles. One of the world's largest automotive museums, the Petersen Automotive Museum is a non-profit organization specializing in the education and history of  this Saturday, May 9th at 6:30 pm.

Dealing for Duchenne will be an evening full of activity and fun to raise money to find a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD)
The most severe form of muscular dystrophy, DMD usually affects young boys and causes progressive muscle weakness, usually beginning in the legs.

The night's activities will include a Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament with the Stars, Blackjack blackjack, one of the world's most widely played gambling card games; also known as twenty-one or vingt-et-un. Despite contesting claims between the French and Italians, its origins are unknown. , dinner by Wolfgang Puck, live music with Catch Penny, and of course a tour of the world class Petersen Automotive Museum. All proceeds raised from this event will be used to fund a new Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy Research Clinic at UCLA UCLA University of California at Los Angeles

DMD is an "orphan" disease which means that pharmaceutical companies do not invest in bringing cures to market because the number of potential users does not make it profitable enough. CureDuchenne intends to change that.

"Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is the most lethal genetic childhood disease and so few people know about it, because the boys it affects are too young to have a strong voice in their cause," says CureDuchenne's President and Founder, Debra Miller.

Mrs. Miller continues, "CureDuchenne's goal is to raise awareness for Duchenne, and there is no better way to raise awareness than to get our Celebrities involved. Many have stepped up to spread our message and we're grateful."

Some of the night's celebrities will include Willie Garson, Anne Heche, James Tupper, Kevin Weissman, Kyle Gass, Ralph Garman, Joel Murray, and Josh Malina.
