DealForce Announces Partnership with DLJ.

DealForce (www.dealforce.com) has formed a strategic partnership with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Inc. to help companies with their merger and acquisition needs. Under the partnership, DLJ will have the option to refer to DealForce those companies that do not fit its criteria for its in-house mergers and acquisitions group.

DealForce will introduce these companies to financial advisors from within the DealForce network, matched to the individual needs of each company. DealForce is a division of Marketplace Technologies Inc. (MTI), a leading developer of Web-based services for the merger and acquisition industry. Launched in June, DealForce claims to be the first Web-based referral network for merger and acquisition services. Using it, a party looking to find a merger and acquisition advisor, either for itself or for a third party, can go to the DealForce Web site and post a request for introductions. DealForce will then search its database of affiliates and identify the best advisors to handle the assignment. It will then provide introductions to these advisors. Users of the service also earn substantial referral fees.

DealForce recently listed more than 110 top merger and acquisition firms in the U.S. and Canada. The firms have more than 170 offices and employ nearly 1,000 professionals, and in 1999 completed more than 1,500 transactions worth more than $30 billion.
