Using it, a party looking to find a merger and acquisition advisor, either for itself or for a third party, can go to the DealForce Web site and post a request for introductions. DealForce will then search its database of affiliates and identify the best advisors to handle the assignment. It will then provide introductions to these advisors. Users of the service also earn substantial referral fees.

DealForce recently listed more than 110 top merger and acquisition firms in the U.S. and Canada. The firms have more than 170 offices and employ nearly 1,000 professionals, and in 1999 completed more than 1,500 transactions worth more than $30 billion.
