Deal brings Peace of Mind to condo owners.

Peace of Mind Technologies, LLC (POM), a Manhattan-based security technology firm, has been hired by developer, Property Markets Group, to install and maintain a complete security system for a newly renovated luxury condominium development at 823 Park Avenue, announced Jon Ecker, president of POM.

The development features 10 full-floor units that are approximately 4,100 s/f each and a 7,500 s/f penthouse duplex with a private 1,460 s/f roof terrace.

The contract includes the installation and maintenance of digital surveillance equipment such as security cameras, DVRs and monitors that will watch over the building's interiors and exteriors. In addition, video intercoms are being installed at delivery entrances. The building will also receive a telephone management system connected directly to the concierge and key card access controls that permit entry to the residences electronically with a card reader at a door and in the elevator.

"To ensure the safety and wellbeing of residents, Property Markets Group has chosen a fully integrated security technology system that has been arranged to complement the building's unique interiors," said Ecker. "The full-floor layouts give us the opportunity to employ products in innovative ways. The end result is that the units are totally secure."

In addition to granting authorized entry, key card access controls in the elevator also act as sensors that know when a resident's door is ajar. This feature prevents the elevator doors from closing while a resident is unloading items such as packages and helps avoid accidents.

823 Park Avenue is a prewar building that recently underwent a complete renovation that was lead by architect, Barry Rice, and includes the restoration of its facade and the creation of a new lobby inspired by classic Greek Revival. It features 10 full-floor condominiums, a penthouse duplex, private roof terrace, state-of-the-art fitness center, private wine storage, a 24-hour doorman and concierge.
