HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 7, 2002

The deadline for entries to be postmarked for the Houston Press The Houston Press is an alternative weekly newspaper published in Houston, Texas.

The paper, a part of the Village Voice Media group [1], is supported entirely by advertising revenue and is free to readers.
 Club's statewide awards competition, the Lone Star Lone Star (or Lonestar) may refer to:
  • Lone Star Flag, the official flag of the State of Texas
  • The Lone Star State, an official nickname for the State of Texas; derived from the flag
 Awards, is Monday, Feb. 11. Entry booklets were sent to media outlets all over the state, but if your outlet did not receive one, you may find the call for entries on the Houston Press Club Web site, www.houstonpressclub.org, or you may call the club at 713/349-0204 and get one via fax.

This is the second year we have taken our competition statewide, and while it was very successful last year, we hope to get even more entries from all over the state.

There are divisions for newspapers over 100,000 circulation and newspapers under 100,000 circulation, print photography, television news, radio news, magazines, public relations public relations, activities and policies used to create public interest in a person, idea, product, institution, or business establishment. By its nature, public relations is devoted to serving particular interests by presenting them to the public in the most , Internet-based news published only on a Web site and Internet Internet

Publicly accessible computer network connecting many smaller networks from around the world. It grew out of a U.S. Defense Department program called ARPANET (Advanced Research Projects Agency Network), established in 1969 with connections between computers at the

The uniquely "Texas" trophies go to all first, second and third place winners. Winners of our journalist and public relations communicator of the year awards get a trophy plus a $500 check!
