Deadline for HGCA Enterprise Awards. (Informalia).


The deadline for entry to the HGCA HGCA Home Grown Cereals Authority (UK)  Enterprise Award 2003 is the 31st December 2002. Between [pounds sterling]5,000 and [pounds sterling]50,000 is available for each successful project. A total of [pounds]300,000 is on offer for the next round in 2003, a record amount in the scheme's six-year history. Applicants can also receive free management and marketing advice from a specialist consultancy.

HGCA Enterprise Awards aim to help innovative businesses develop products and reach new markets with goods using wheat, barley, oats oats, cereal plants of the genus Avena of the family Gramineae (grass family). Most species are annuals of moist temperate regions. The early history of oats is obscure, but domestication is considered to be recent compared to that of the other , rye and oilseeds directly or indirectly. The diversity of award-winners include: free-range eggs The main difference between free range and factory farmed eggs is that the birds are permitted to roam freely within the farmyard and only kept in sheds or henhouses at night. However, not all countries have legal standards defining what free range means.
