U.S. News ranked the business school's part-time MBA program fifth best in the nation. This is the sixth consecutive year that DePaul's part-time MBA program has been ranked among the top 10 and the second year it made the top five in this category.

 Kraft, dean of the business school, attributed Kellstadt's success to innovative teaching by faculty with real world business experience and the curriculum's responsiveness to the educational needs of business professionals and their employers. Kellstadt also has been in the forefront of programs that stress education in the global economy and electronic commerce, Kraft said.

The College of Law's IP program was ranked sixth in the nation, marking its debut in the top 10 list of IP programs.

Established in 1998, the IP program offers certificates in patent law and general IP studies. Of the more than 25 intellectual property course offerings, many are unique, such as an intellectual property section of trial advocacy The act of Pleading or arguing a case or a position; forceful persuasion. , international intellectual property, cultural heritage and specially designed legal writing classes.

DePaul's Health Law program, which consistently has been recognized by U.S. News, was ranked in the top 10 in its category by the survey as well.

College of Law Dean Teree E. Foster sees the distinctions as the fruits of collective efforts. "This recognition reflects the outstanding faculty, student and alumni effort that continues to drive these programs," said Foster. "The faculty members are energetic and highly capable, the curricula are challenging and the legal community is eager to support programs that supply quality, well-trained lawyers."

The U.S. News rankings are based on a variety of criteria criteria (krītēr´ē),
