DeLorme to Incorporate GDT Data into Consumer Mapping Products.

Business Editors

LEBANON, N.H.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 19, 2000

Geographic Data Geographic data is about much more than electronic pictures of maps.

The geographic data that describes our world allows for city planning, flood prediction and relief, emergency service routing, environmental assessments, wind pattern monitoring and many other applications.
Technology, Inc., a developer of premier map databases, announced today that DeLorme will incorporate GDT's nationwide street and address database into selected consumer mapping products. DeLorme is a leading publisher of maps, atlases, mapping software, and online mapping systems.

This agreement allows DeLorme to incorporate the quality of GDT's databases into its products so DeLorme can focus more of its resources on the development of proprietary non-transportation content databases.

"Both GDT and DeLorme were founded at the start of the computer mapping era by people who have gone on to become industry leaders. We've developed great respect for each other over the last 20 years, and we've established a solid working relationship based on the natural synergies of two New England New England, name applied to the region comprising six states of the NE United States—Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.
