DeLorean drives into park row.
The DeLorean Owners Association (NI) had asked Moyle District Council for free use of the Giant's Causeway car park during a weekend celebrating the 25th anniversary of the gull-winged collectable.
But the May 28 event coincides with the Bank Holiday weekend and Sinn Fein councillors argued DeLorean owners should pay like everyone else.
Sinn Fein Councillor Cathal Newcombe asked: "Are we going to turn the Giant's Causeway into a showroom for secondhand cars?"
However, the proposal to waive the charges was agreed.
Around 250 DeLorean owners will come from all over Europe, the US and even Hong Kong and Australia and the cavalcade will be escorted by police.
Event organiser Corinne Weatherup said: "Given the public's fascination with the DeLorean we expect this cavalcade to generate substantial media interest and visitors."
