GEORGETOWN, Del.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 10, 2001

DeCrane Aircraft Systems Integration Group (PATS) today announced it has signed a service contract with Boeing Business Jets The Boeing Business Jet series are factory conversions of Boeing airliners for the corporate jet market, initially the 737 series airliners. This aircraft usually seats between 25 and 50 passengers within a luxurious configuration. .

DeCrane has been installing the auxiliary fuel systems and other related modifications, including winglets, on the BBJ for the past two years. The DeCrane facility was expanded by 18,000 square feet last year and is currently undergoing a second expansion giving them an additional 48,000 square feet of hangar and back shop space.

DeCrane is also in the process of achieving designated alteration status (DAS), which allows the company to issue FAA supplemental type certificates The Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) is the Federal Aviation Administration term for the approval that extends a type certificate for modifications made to an airframe, engine, or appliance.
