:DSPG DSPG Defense Special Projects Group ) today announced the appointments of Nathaniel de Rothschild Nathaniel de Rothschild, (London, July 2, 1812 – February 19, 1870 in Paris), known as "Nat," was the founder of the French wine-making branch of the Rothschild family.  and Yair Shamir to its Board of Directors.

De Rothschild was named to DSPG's Board on Jan. 28, 1997, and Shamir joined DSPG's Board last October.

De Rothschild, 50, a French national, is President of Nathaniel de Rothschild Holdings Ltd., a private investment company that he founded in 1988. He is also Chairman of the Board of Global Asset Management (USA) Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of Global Asset Management Ltd., an $8 billion money management firm that specializes in investing on a worldwide basis. In addition, de Rothschild is a member of the Board of VRT VRT Vita Radio Transport (communications standard / protocol)

De Rothschild was formerly Chairman of the Board of Transcontinental Services Group N.V., an investment holding company specializing in LBO's and venture capital investments. In 1982 he joined Rothschild Inc. as Managing Director and later was named Co- chairman. Prior to that, he spent nine years at Banque Rothschild in Paris where his last position was as Vice Chairman of the Management Board. De Rothschild holds an M.A. from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris and an M.B.A. from Harvard.

Shamir, 51, an Israeli national, serves on the boards of several high tech companies, including Mercury Interactive Corp. (NASDAQ:MERQ MERQ Mercury Interactive Corp (stock symbol) ) and Orkit Communications (NASDAQ:ORCTF).

Shamir is also a member of the United States/Israel Science and Technology Commission and serves as the Executive Vice President of SCITEX Corp. Ltd. (NASDAQ:SCIXF).
