De Novo Ventures Expands Investment Team; Kenneth Pereira Joins De Novo As Chief Financial Officer.

MENLO PARK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 7, 2003

Kenneth Pereira has joined De Novo Ventures as chief financial officer, the early-stage life sciences venture capital firm announced today.

Mr. Pereira, 42, will be responsible for internal accounting, taxation, preparation of reports for limited partners, and administration. He will also help support De Novo's early stage portfolio companies.

Before joining De Novo, Mr. Pereira was chief financial officer for Hummer Winblad Venture Partners. Before that, he served as CFO for 10 years at American Industrial Partners, a San Francisco-based private equity firm. Earlier in his career, he was a certified public accountant at Ernst & Young.

Mr. Pereira holds a BS in Accounting from California State University and an MBA in Business Administration from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
