SIXTEEN gardens will be on display to the public for the opening weekend of the Wilmcote Festival, which takes place July 1-9. The gardens will be open from noon-5pm next weekend.

The Wilmcote Players are providing a summer supper and cabaret evening on Friday, July 7. Other highlights include the Hook Norton Brass Band on Saturday, July 1, poet Julie Boden on Monday, July 3, an afternoon tea dance for senior citizens at the Village Hall on Thursday, July 6, and the fireworks fireworks: see pyrotechnics.
