 DAY) Dayton Mining Corporation is pleased to announce that the strike at the Andacollo Gold Mine is over effective today.

Wayne McClay, Dayton's President and Chief Executive Officer stated that "Dayton is pleased to have a speedy resolution to the labor dispute on terms that are acceptable to both the Company and the union. A four year contract has been negotiated which will assure long term production at the Andacollo Gold Mine without further labor disruptions."

Dayton Mining Corporation holds a 100 percent interest in the Andacollo Gold Mine located in central Chile. The company trades on both the American Stock Exchange American Stock Exchange (AMEX)
