DaysOut; GRAHAM YOUNG HEADS FOR CONKERS IN THE NATIONAL FOREST.IF YOU were to let your children run wild in an urban setting, people would probably criticise your parenting skills. At Conkers, though, it's de rigeur to let your children off the leash. Why else would they be there? Created on a former coalmine that's now part of the National Forest, Conkers is a rapidly-maturing, 120-acre mixture of woodland and wetland, lakes and paths. There are art trails with sculptures and activity trails with assault-course equipment that wouldn't have been out of place on the old Krypton krypton (krĭp`tŏn) [Gr.,=hidden], gaseous chemical element; symbol Kr; at. no. 36; at. wt. 83.80; m.p. −156.6°C;; b.p. −152.3°C;; density 3.73 grams per liter at STP; valence usually 0. Factor television show. Ten minutes' drive from junction 11 of the M42 (just north of Tamworth), Conkers is just 35 miles away from Coventry, but this is another world. Conkers has a huge lake, plenty of tree cover, and a large indoor discovery centre for the days when the weather turns quickly - as it can do on this site.
