Tuesday announced that it will offer an Ethernet network interface card for Macintosh computers equipped with a Communications Slot. With today's announcement, Dayna becomes the only vendor, other than Apple, to provide an Ethernet adapter The Ethernet hardware required to attach to an Ethernet network. The DaynaPORT E/CS adapters will be available in both 10BASE-T and thin Ethernet See 10Base2. versions for users of LC 575 and 630, Performa 475, 476, 570, 575, 577, 578, and 630, and Quadra 630 machines. The 10BASE-T version, the E/CS-T, will ship Jan. 3, 1995 and will have a suggested U.S. retail price of $109; the thin Ethernet E/CS adapter will begin shipping Jan. 30, 1995 and will have a suggested U.S. retail price of $119. The cards are expected to sell at a street price of approximately $90.
