The FCC was created under the U.S. for unlicensed use worldwide. Frequency hopping has been integrated into the radio to provide a high degree of data security, and to allow exceptional performance in the presence of interference. The Roamer is the only wireless LAN PC Card solution for the Apple market; it allows wireless users to communicate up to 150 feet in any direction or roam the entire length of the LAN (Local Area Network) A communications network that serves users within a confined geographical area. The "clients" are the user's workstations typically running Windows, although Mac and Linux clients are also used. through a wireless connection to an Ethernet network.
