Dayna cuts prices on its 10 Mbit Ethernet cards and hubs by up to 27 percent.


SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 5, 1996--Dayna Communications Inc. Friday announced reductions of up to 27 percent on prices for several products in the company's DaynaPORT line of 10 Mbit Ethernet cards See Ethernet adapter.  and transceivers, and in the DaynaSTAR line of compact workgroup hubs.

The price reductions are a result of improved cost structures for the company's products.

Price reductions for the DaynaSTAR 5-port, 8-port, and 16-port hubs, offer users the biggest price decrease of up to 27 percent and provide both Mac and PC users with 5-port hub options priced under $99.

Other products which have also been affected by the price change include 10BASE-T and thin Ethernet See 10Base2.  DaynaPORT E/LC cards for Macintosh models Following is a brief summary of the current models in Apple's Macintosh family, all of which use Intel CPU chips. For a list of some of the earliest Macs by model number, see Macintosh models - early.  with a PDS (1) (Processor Direct Slot) A single expansion slot on certain, early Macintosh models that was used to connect high-speed peripherals as well as additional CPUs. Providing a channel directly to the CPU, the PDS coexisted with NuBus slots on some models.  slot, the DaynaPORT CS-T, a 10BASE-T card for Macintoshes with a Communications Slot, and the EasyNet 10BASE-T transceiver (TRANSmitter reCEIVER) An electronic device or circuit that transmits and receives analog or digital signals.
