Daylight Transport Announces New Services and Sales Team in the Pacific Northwest; Daylight Offers Transit Times Two to Three Days Faster Than Competitors.

Daylight Transport, the premier expedited LTL and full truckload transportation and logistics provider, continues its rapid growth by further improving its new services to and from the Pacific Northwest regions of Oregon and Washington.

This announcement was made today by Doug Waggoner, president of Daylight Transport.

By adding direct routes to Oregon and Washington and by using two-person sleeper teams, Daylight Transport's everyday expedited transit times to these states will be two to three days faster than those offered by competitors in this region.

"For example, if freight is picked up on a Friday in Chicago, it will arrive in Portland on Tuesday, or Wednesday at the latest," stated Waggoner. "A pick up in New York on a Thursday, would also arrive in the Northwest on Tuesday. Our transit times are unprecedented within these regions which makes us even more pleased to offer these new services."

Three exceptional new employees have been hired to inaugurate the expanded territory. Jorge Bailey, Karen Greenwood, and Gary Paetz have been appointed as account executives to the Pacific Northwestern region sales team. This announcement was made by Todd Aquilina, Northwestern regional sales manager of Daylight Transport, who will directly supervise the new sales team.

Jorge Bailey will be an account executive serving the Southwest Washington and Oregon territory for Daylight. Bailey comes to Daylight after working at Consolidated Freightways for 12 years, most recently as their regional sales executive for the Northwest. Before Consolidated, he worked at Hewlett-Packard for eight years.

A graduate of the University of Portland, Bailey is married and the father of three children.

Gary Paetz has been appointed as account executive for the Portland, Ore. area, bringing almost 20 years worth of valuable LTL industry experience to Daylight. Most recently, Paetz was president of Pacific Alaska Forwarders in Seattle. Before that, he worked for Yellow Freight Systems for 18 years, 11 as regional sales manager responsible for Washington, Oregon, and British Columbia.

As account executive for the Seattle, Wash. region, Karen Greenwood is ready to introduce Daylight's services to new customers. Greenwood most recently served as a sales executive for Consolidated Freightways, where she worked for ten years, including two years as the manager of training.

After graduating from the University of Washington, she began her career at Yellow Freight Systems in various positions, including management trainee, inbound dock foreman and sales. She is happily married and lives in Renton, Wash.

Since Daylight Transport is a 100 percent home-based sales operation, the new Pacific Northwest sales team will be working out of their home-offices within their respective sales territories.
