Daylight Software, StarCite Integrate Technology To Drive RFP Speed, Efficiencies, Revenues.

Business Editors/High-Tech Writers

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. & PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 2, 2004

Daylight Software and StarCite, Inc. today announced plans to integrate their technologies to drive greater efficiencies, speed and business intelligence to the meeting request for proposal process. A provider of Advanced Sales and Catering(TM) solutions, Daylight serves leading convention, gaming and independent properties. StarCite provides both technology tools and service to meeting planners and suppliers. In 2003, users sourced more than $730 million worth of meeting leads through the StarCite Online Marketplace.

The integration will offer hospitality suppliers the enriched data, customer intelligence and robust reporting that Daylight affords with the immediacy of leads that StarCite generates. Without having to rekey Rekeying is the process of changing a lock's tumblers to work on a different key than the current one. The integration will represent the industry's first two-way exchange of data. This will ensure that all leads are accurately tracked, managed and reported.

Meeting planners should benefit from the data integration with increased speed of response and enhanced accuracy. Once the integration is completed, data will be typed just once to populate both the Daylight solution used by hotels and the StarCite solution used by planners.
