Day-Timer Technologies Debuts New, Web-Enabled Version of Day-Timer Organizer; Day-Timer Organizer 2.1 offers 50+ new features to make personal information management, website access, and email creation faster and easier.

SAN MATEO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 5, 1996--Day-Timer Technologies today announced version 2.1 of its award-winning Day-Timer Organizer personal information manager (PIM) software for Windows, offering users new internet and email launchers for quicker access to websites and easier email addressing.

In addition, more than 50 new and improved features provide additional time-savings and convenience.

Internet and email launchers in Day-Timer Organizer version 2.1 allow users to access a website or address an email with a single mouse click. When an email or URL address is entered in a contact record, Day-Timer Organizer places the appropriate icon next to the address. When single clicking on the icon, Day-Timer Organizer will launch into the user's email package, and pre-address the email envelope, or will launch the appropriate internet browser, Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Explorer, if a URL address is selected.

Several new features provide significant time savings, including a "quick fill" data entry function enabling users to enter the first few letters of a previously entered name, company, or city while Day-Timer Organizer fills in the rest; a new easy name finder capability that gives speedy access to contact information; and icons to launch other applications directly from within Day-Timer Organizer.

Time management tips are also new, offering shortcuts, usage examples and time tips from Day-Timers' 50 years of time management expertise.

Day-Timer Organizer is available for Windows 95 and Windows 3.1. The 32-bit and 16-bit versions ship in the same package. A Macintosh version is also available. The Windows and Macintosh single-user versions are available for $59.95 in retail stores and through the Day-Timer catalog, while a CD-ROM Deluxe version for Windows is available for $79.95.

Single-user versions are "workgroup-ready" and can be linked on a network to take advantage of group scheduling, selective sharing of contacts and other information, messaging and more. Up to 720 users can be linked on a single network server, with cross-platform support offered for Windows and Macintosh users.
