The hospital is a 947 bed tertiary medical center and is affiliated with Case Western Reserve University. The facility is noted for its pioneering work in organ transplantation services. The hospital plans to initially use the blood volume analyzer in conjunction with organ transplantation services and other appropriate areas in the hospital. The hospital will be the second hospital in the United States to use the BVA-100 Blood Volume Analyzer in conjunction with organ transplantation.
