Daxor Corporation Announces Ohio's First Independent Diagnostic Imaging Center to Acquire the Blood Volume Analyzer BVA-100.


NEW YORK -- Daxor Corporation, (AMEX AMEX

: DXR), a medical instrumentation and biotechnology company, today announced the receipt of a signed agreement from The Imaging Center of Stow, Ohio. This will be Daxor's first independent diagnostic imaging center contract, and Ohio's first non-hospital blood volume center. Daxor currently has hospital contracts in Ohio with The Cleveland Clinic and The Children's Hospital of Akron.

The Imaging Center, owned and operated by Dr. Anthony Passalaqua, specializes in high-field magnetic resonance imaging magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), noninvasive diagnostic technique that uses nuclear magnetic resonance to produce cross-sectional images of organs and other internal body structures.  (MRI) and Nuclear Medicine Imaging nuclear medicine imaging,

. Daxor, in coordination with Dr. Passalaqua, will actively market The Imaging Center's BVA-100 through clinical educational and informational seminars to area physicians. Dr. Passalaqua has indicated that one of the marketing focuses will be to area dialysis centers. "I believe that dialysis patients may greatly benefit from a blood volume analysis," commented Dr. Passalaqua.

Daxor Corporation's Vice President of Sales and Marketing, John Reyes-Guerra said, "We are excited to add Dr. Passalaqua to our growing list of customers. As Ohio's first non-hospital account, The Imaging Center will help diagnose blood volume derangements in patients with hypertension, congestive heart failure congestive heart failure, inability of the heart to expel sufficient blood to keep pace with the metabolic demands of the body.
