The population was 5,474 at the 2000 census. It is a port at the head of Great Sound, a huge lagoon and deepwater harbor protected by coral reefs. Robinson LLC, a private equity firm that has owned Black Clawson since 2003. Davis-Standard makes extrusion equipment for profiles, cast and blown film, sheet, and coating, plus industrial blow molding.
