Davies sets his sights on Rome; IN BRIEF.


SWIMMING: Double Olympic medallist David Davies There have been several well-known people named David Davies. It is a particularly common name in Wales, and in most cases the combination of names comes from the Welsh tradition of naming children with first names similar to their surname (ie, John Jones).  admits the World Championships in Rome may represent his last chance to add to his medal tally in the pool at the highest level.

The 24-year-old has amassed three bronze medals in the 1500m freestyle The code name for the MCE version of Windows. See Media Center Edition.  at Olympic and world level as well as a silver in the open water in Beijing last summer.

However, Davies was sixth in the 1500m free at the Water Cube, a result which prompted the Welshman to assess his future in the event.
