Tremaine, a national business law firm, has appointed Mary Haas Mary Rosamund Haas (born January 12, 1910; died May 17, 1996) was an American linguist who specialized in North American Indian languages, Thai, and historical linguistics. partner-in-charge of its Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850. office. Haas has been an associate in the firm for the past 11 years.
