David Ryan takes CFS helm; John-Ole Hansen joins board.

After nearly 14 years devoted to making CFS a leading global supplier of food processing Food processing is the set of methods and techniques used to transform raw ingredients into food for consumption by humans or animals. The food processing industry utilises these processes.  and packaging equipment and systems to the convenience food industry, Hansen has decided to pursue personal interests outside the company. But he joined the supervisory board to stay involved.

"He led CFS with bold vision, strong determination and a passion for customer-value. We have a great platform to build upon, and a powerful example for his successor to follow."

Ryan joined AEA in 2002 as an operating partner. While involved in all aspects of the investment process, he focused on assessing and supporting management and appraising and improving the operational performance and capabilities of businesses of interest to AEA.

With Christopher Mahan, he co-led AEA's team on the acquisition of CFS, of which he serves as chairman. In 2002, he had directed AEA's operational diligence and improvement work in relation to Symrise (formed by the merger of Haarmann & Reimer with Dragoco).

CFS specializes in performance focused solutions for the food industry, from a single machine or packaging material to a complete production line for the preparation, marination Marination, also known as marinating, is the process of soaking foods in a seasoned, often acidic, liquid before cooking. The origins of the word allude to the use of brine (aqua marina , processing, slicing and packaging of primarily meat, poultry, fish, seafood and cheese-based products.
