David Rackiewicz Joins MPR Associates Nuclear Team.


ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- MPR (MultiProtocol Router) Software from Novell that provides router capabilities for its NetWare servers. It supports IPX, IP, AppleTalk and OSI protocols as well as all the major LANs and WANs.  Associates, an inter-disciplinary engineering firm founded in 1964, recently added David Rackiewicz to MPR Nuclear. Rackiewicz has more than 36 years of experience in naval nuclear propulsion Noun 1. nuclear propulsion - the use of a nuclear reactor either to produce electricity to power an engine (as in a nuclear submarine) or to directly heat a propellant (as in nuclear rockets)

 plant research and development, design, operation, maintenance and repair.

Rackiewicz is based in MPR's Alexandria, Va. Headquarters. He is committed to furthering the confidence and trust in the commercial nuclear industry, helping to expand the number of nuclear plants and increasing the reliability, performance and lifetimes of existing nuclear plants through his broad experience in the U.S. Navy's nuclear power program.

Prior to joining MPR, Rackiewicz was senior technical manager of the Operating Reactors Group for Naval Reactors (NR), the office responsible for the development, design, construction and operation of the U.S. Navy's nuclear-powered ships. His extensive work experience with NR includes assignments as head of the USS Los Angeles Two ships, an airship, and a submarine of the United States Navy have been named USS Los Angeles, after the city of Los Angeles, California.
