David Pettit Named CEO of Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- The Palm Beach Health Network announced today that David A. Pettit has been named chief executive officer of Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center in Palm Beach County, effective Nov. 8.

"David is an experienced senior level executive who has spent the past 16 years working in the South Florida market," said Mitch Feldman, vice president of Palm Beach Health Network. "His knowledge of health care, dedication to providing the highest level of patient care and commitment to quality will provide a strong administrative foundation at the hospital. David's proven track record in Florida makes him an ideal choice to lead Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center."

Pettit, 42, is an experienced and respected health care professional with extensive management of hospitals and health care systems experience in multi-unit health care systems. Most recently, he was interim CEO at Cleveland Clinic Hospital in Weston. Under his leadership, the hospital earned numerous third part quality endorsements, including the American Heart Association's Get With The Guidelines (2006); Tenet's Circle of Excellence (2006); Top 100 Hospital from Solucient, Inc. (2005); and United Health's Cardiac Network Quality Designation (2005). Since 1993, he served as CFO for Cleveland Clinic Hospital, West Boca Medical Center, Florida Medical Center and Pinecrest Rehabilitation Hospital. He holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.
