David Nosal Named New Head of Korn/Ferry International's Silicon Valley Operations.

Korn/Ferry International, the world's leading executive search firm, announced today that it has appointed David Nosal, managing director of the firm's Northwest region and head of its San Francisco office, to take direct charge of its Silicon Valley operations, in a move to further strengthen the firm's private equity/advanced technology practice in the Valley.

Nosal will retain his responsibility for the Northwest region -- including San Francisco, Seattle, Silicon Valley and Vancouver -- but will be relocating to the Valley to allow him to be in more direct contact with the firm's high-tech and private equity clients there. Bill Caldwell will assume the role as managing director of the San Francisco office, reporting to Nosal.

Nosal has conducted numerous executive search assignments throughout the United States, Canada, Latin America, Europe and Asia across multiple industries, with a particular focus on advanced technology and private equity clients. The majority of Nosal's executive search assignments over the past 17 years have focused on senior-level management positions, principally chief executive officers, presidents and chief operating officers in high-growth, early-stage, pre-IPO and post-IPO companies.

He works closely with a diverse selection of companies and their boards of directors to identify, evaluate and attract senior management teams. His problem-solving approach and commitment to quality and service are recognized assets in the industry, evidenced by the substantial repeat business he is given by his clients.

Before joining Korn/Ferry in 1996, he was with another international executive search firm as a senior partner and director in San Francisco and Minneapolis. Prior to this, he was a consultant with a senior-level executive search firm in Minneapolis. His career also includes being a consultant with the American Consulting Association in Chicago and having worked for Abbott Laboratories in its Chicago corporate office.
