Pianist David Morgan leads a trio also consisting of bassist Sean Drabitt and drummer Jason Marsalis in a live jazz set that was captured live to CD by Louisiana recording maven Don Turnipseed. As we have come to expect from a Don Turnipseed production, everything is done with taste and talent, with no extra notes from the musicians -- just solid tunes, well-played -- and no extra flash or hype in the recording, just a pleasant, clean, well-balanced sound. Of the nine songs on Hands of Time, six are by Morgan, who is now reportedly in New York New York, state, United States
