David Menninger Appointed Senior Vice President of Marketing for ArsDigita Corporation.

ArsDigita Corporation, the leading provider of open-source collaborative commerce software and solutions, today announced it has appointed David Menninger to the post of senior vice president of marketing. Menninger joins ArsDigita from Oracle Corporation where he was most recently the vice president of product management for the company's data mining products.

Menninger is responsible for elevating ArsDigita's market awareness to support adoption of the company's products and services, and for developing ArsDigita into a worldwide brand. In this role, Menninger will drive marketing strategies and programs for ArsDigita's open-source e-business platform, the ArsDigita Community System (ACS), as well as direct all online and offline corporate marketing efforts. Menninger reports directly to ArsDigita CEO, Allen Shaheen.

In addition to his time as vice president of product management at Oracle, Menninger spent several years as the vice president of product marketing for Oracle's Express product line. Before Oracle, Menninger served as the vice president of advanced technology marketing for Waltham, MA-based IRI Software (acquired by Oracle in 1995). Prior to IRI, Dave held various management positions with Boston-area software companies. Menninger holds a masters degree from Bentley College and a BS in economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
