He is responsible for all operations and financial matters for the company. Lillington has been acting president since his predecessor, Dieter Zemmrich, retired earlier this year. Lillington will report to Joseph M. DeSarla, executive vice president at Boeing Satellite Systems in El Segundo El Segundo (ĕl sēgŭn`dō), industrial city (1990 pop. 15,223), Los Angeles co., S Calif., on Santa Monica Bay; inc. 1917. Its products include navigation and computer systems, aircraft parts, office machines, telephone apparatus, and , Calif. Spectrolab, founded in 1956, has been supplying solar cells and panels to the space industry for more than 40 years. Pioneer 1, launched in 1958, carried the first body-mounted panels used in space.
