David Calapp named chief executive officer of Morrow Snowboards.


SALEM, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 21, 1996--Morrow Snowboards Inc. (NASDAQ:MRRW) today announced that David Calapp has been named chief executive officer of the company and a member of the board of directors.

Dennis R. Shelton will continue as president and chief operating officer.

Calapp, 51, brings to his new role over 25 years of management, marketing, engineering and operations experience in consumer products and sporting goods. He most recently was president, chief executive officer and founder of Aero-Tech Sports Corp. in Bellingham, Wash., a supplier of advanced composite products and components to the golf, hockey and bicycle industries.

From 1993 to 1995 he was vice president, operations with Prince Sports Group Inc., a division of Benetton Sportsystem of Italy. In that position he was responsible for worldwide manufacturing, quality, purchasing, distribution, research and development, and facilities management.

Prior to joining Prince he was vice president, manufacturing of O'Brien International and vice president and director of planning and development of Connelly Skis Inc.; both are water ski and related product companies. He also spent nine years with K2 Corp., a leading ski manufacturer, as vice president, engineering and in a range of other management positions, including product marketing.
