David B Page Studio Launches Portfolio Websites www.dpprints.com and www.pagephotos.com; Award-Winning Woodcut Illustrator, Photographer, and Graphic Designer Showcases Life-Long Odyssey of Artistic Exploration.

SAN FRANCISCO -- San Francisco-based, David B Page Studio announced today the launch of www.dpprints.com and www.pagephotos.com. The websites showcase the portfolio and commissionable work of award-winning woodcut illustrator, photographer, and graphic designer, David B Page, MA. Updated frequently, the sites share Page's abundant curiosity, talent with multiple mediums, and life-long odyssey of artistic exploration. A third website focused on the artist's use of lens, knife, and pen is scheduled for launch next month.

Like a lyric poet pursuing the photographic equivalent, Page's fine art photography celebrates life and enhances global awareness while capturing the human spirit and cultural nuances of diversity. Page's images take you to hypnotic places, revealing beauty and mystery -- the result of photographic treks and assignments throughout Bali, Bolivia, Burma, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Europe, Flores, Greece, Guatemala, Honduras, India, Italy, Java, Laos, Mexico, Morocco, Nepal, Nicaragua, Pakistan, Peru, Portugal, Sikkim Sikkim (sĭk`ĭm), state (2001 provisional pop. 540,493), 2,745 sq mi (7,110 sq km), India. It is located in the E Himalayas and bordered by Nepal (W), by the Tibet region of China (N), by Bhutan (E), and by the Indian state of West Bengal (S). The capital and only town is Gangtok., Spain, Sumatra, Sumba Sumba or Soemba (both: sm`bä), island (1990 pop. 444,777), 4,305 sq mi (11,150 sq km), Indonesia, one of the Lesser Sundas, in the Indian Ocean, S of Flores across Sumba Strait. The chief town and port is Waingapu. The island is noted for horse breeding., Switzerland, Thailand, Trinidad, Turkey, United States and Venezuela.

In addition to exploring the world, Page also explores the frontiers of digital and traditional photography, often using 3D and image manipulation technologies.

Available for purchase from a variety of sources including websites www.dpprints.com and www.pagephotos.com, Page's photographs currently grace the walls of private collectors and galleries in the United States, and can be viewed in books and marketing collateral for corporations and institutes of higher learning.

Profoundly influenced by the great draughtsmen of history: Daumier, Durer, Tenniel, Lautrec and Rembrandt; Page's illustrations reveal a unique appreciation for the black and white severity yet simultaneous grace of woodcut. Intrigued by the historical use of woodcut in creating religious icons, fabric patterns and revolutionary art, Page's editorial and political illustrations challenge as well as delight, often raising more questions than they answer. When focused on his appreciation for the sublime and his desire to mirror reality with a smile, Page's intricate lines and sharpness of angle can define sensibility and simplicity with gentleness, as in the case of his best-selling woodcuts The Cat, The Bear, and The Rabbit. Page's creativity and woodcut brilliance can be viewed at www.dpprints.com. The illustrator of four books, including One of the Missing, an Ambrose Bierce short story collection produced by Yolla Bolly Press, Page is currently designing two books scheduled for release in 2006.

Working in several mediums with equal enjoyment, Page strives to show his consistency of creative vision and thought and has won awards in international magazines. Page's first California solo exhibition will be in Sausalito in July 2006. For more information, call 415-331-1038.
