David's the new host of The Panel; TELEVISION.ECONOMIST David McWilliams
David McWilliams (born 1968[1]) is an Irish economist and broadcaster. has been named as the new host of The Panel. The broadcaster will be showing off his less serious side as the presenter of the hit comedy show. An insider said: "David has appeared on the show a number of times and was one of the guest presenters. "He also hosted the live event which toured the country. And everyone on the show felt he was a good person to take the job." The show hasn't had a fulltime host since Dara O'Briain left the chair as his career in the UK soared. He is also the executive producer but rarely appears on-screen. The source added: "While the guest presenters worked, RTE (1) See runtime engine.
