SUNDERLAND will be going all-out for victory against Wigan Wigan (wĭg`ən), city (1991 pop. 88,725) and metropolitan district, N England, located in the Manchester metropolitan area on the Douglas River.  as the Black Cats look to meet boss Ricky Sbragia's points target.

Sbragia set his men a minimum target of four points from their back-to-back home games against Spurs and Wigan - and, after Sunderland conceded a last-minute equaliser against the Londoners last weekend, only a win against the Latics will do tomorrow.

Sbragia said: "Conceding that equaliser against Tottenham was a massive disappointment, and I was furious after the game.

"Now we have to pick ourselves up and concentrate on making amends."

Ninth-placed Wigan come to the Stadium of Light looking for their first league win on the road of 2009.

The Wearsiders are unbeaten in three on home turf but, if they are to extend that run, they will have to find a way to deal with the aerial threat posed by Steve Bruce's side.

Sbragia is considering drafting in 6ft 4in defender Calum Davenport Calum Raymond Paul Davenport (born January 1, 1983 in Bedford) is an English football player who currently plays for West Ham United in the Premier League. Club career

 - for his debut to counter Wigan's height advantage.

He added: "Wigan are a big team and that is something we are going to have to be aware of.

"We have had them watched and their biggest goal threat is likely to come from set pieces.

"We are expecting them to be very direct in the way they approach the game.

"They will want to play the ball forward quickly and they will want to make most advantage of the height they havet in the side.

"That is something we have to be conscious of at all times and if Davenport plays then that will be a help in that direction."

Davenport had his first outing in red and white in Sunderland's reserve win over Bolton in midweek, but has not played a senior game since turning out for the Hammers on Boxing Day.

Sbragia said: "Calum has been patient since arriving here in January and we will have to see how it goes."

"I will have no qualms about putting in Calum if that the option available to me.

"He has done very well since coming here, worked hard and he is looking forward to the chance to show what he can do.

"There is plenty of competition in defence now, which is what I like to see.

"The main thing on our mind is taking the three points, so we have to look at getting it right all over the field, not just at the back."
