Welcomes David Wang as Its First COO

As COO, Wang will report to Wu and be responsible for both managing and coordinating GCS technology and manufacturing operations.

Wang brings 23 years of technical and leadership experience in compound semiconductor and MMIC (Monolithic Microwave IC) An integrated circuit used in high-frequency applications such as mobile phones. Also known as "monolithic microwave/millimeter-wave IC," MMICs combine transistors and passive devices (resistors, capacitors, etc.  to GCS and has spent most of his career with industry leaders such as TRW, Hughes and Westinghouse.

Wang has made important contributions to the compound semiconductor technology as an engineer, operations manager and project manager. He obtained his Ph.D. from Carnegie-Mellon University and has been a prominent figure in the development, manufacturing and insertion of MMICs for both military and commercial applications.

GCS currently offers HBT and PHEMT See FET.  foundry service for both InGaP and AlGaAs processes. Additionally, GCS is delivering optoelectronic devices such as VCSEL (Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser) Pronounced "vixel." A type of laser diode that emits light from its surface rather than its edge. A VCSEL's circular beam is easy to couple with a fiber, and due to its surface-emission architecture, can be tested  and PIN diodes for fiber communication market and is providing SAW filter foundry service for handset applications.
