Dave Ruby, Star of Grown Ups, and His Dog Chase to Kick Off Doggie Central's Holiday Food Drive to Benefit Paws / LA.

CULVER CITY, Calif., Nov. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Grown Ups sitcom star Dave Ruby and his miniature pinscher Chase will drop their treats and toys into the Barrel of Barks at Doggie Central on Saturday, December 4th, a holiday party to kick off the month-long "Paws-itive Pooch Power" drive to collect food, toys and accessories so that dogs and their people will have a happy paw-liday too. The drive benefits Paws / LA, the organization that provides support for pets of people with AIDS.

The party is from 1 to 5 and is free, and open to the canine public, as long as they are accompanied by a human. Festivities include a canine costume contest, an opportunity to make a lasting impression from the Paw'z Print'z lady, and your family photo with Santa. Raffle prizes include a weekend at Doggie Central, veterinary visits, treats from 3 Dog Bakery, a limo ride for you and your dog and more.

Local veterinarians Dr. Yves Galea and Dr. Lynn Nelson will be on hand to answer questions and offer advice.
